In memory of Dr Chris Reardon
Chris was the primary author of the first edition of Your Home in 2001, for which he won his first Banksia Award, the Housing Industry Association’s Leadership Award and achieved global recognition at the World Sustainable Building Conference in Oslo, 2002. He contributed to each new edition of Your Home until he passed away in 2014.
He was an ecologist, building designer, passionate change-agent and tireless advocate for sustainability in the housing industry. His life mission was to see sustainable housing become the norm in Australia and we hope this latest edition, 20 years after the first, is a legacy to his work and a step closer to realising this important goal.
